Mortal Kombat for PSVita Arrives on May 1st/May 4th

It was confirmed that the PSVita version of Mortal Kombat 9 (2011) will be released on May 1st in North America and on May 4th in Europe. The game refused classification by the Classification Board of Australia.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios today confirmed that Mortal Kombat for the PlayStation® Vita system will be released on May 1, 2012 in North America.

Mortal Kombat for PlayStation Vita system provides an on-the-go fighting game experience with brand new gameplay features and tons of new content developed exclusively for the revolutionary handheld system. Mortal Kombat delivers an all-new Challenge Tower mode with 150 brand new missions, including Touchscreen Fatalities, Xrays and more.

I have another new IPS patch for you this update - Streets of Rage 2 ED-209, which lets you play as the ED-209 robot from Robocop. Now all we need is for someone to rip the Robocop sprites from Robocop vs Terminator and we'll have a proper Robocop edition of the game! Great fun, and I'm already aware of several other hacks on the horizon. I will of course add them to the site as they get released.
